The Recreation Department in Cynthiana is run by not only the City of Cynthiana, but the whole of Harrison County. The Parks and Recreation Department is headed by the Director, as well as a Board of Directors appointed by both the city and the county.

While the Recreation Department offers a wide range of activities for all ages, youth sports make up the majority of activities offered, including baseball, soccer, and basketball for children from 4-18 years of age. However, adult basketball and softball is very popular at the C.H.C.R.D.

Lastly, we are proud to announce that construction of a new park is in its infancy stages, and a primary focus of the project is to provide participants of all ages even more variety of activities.
